Better a court case overturns Roe. An amendment is not the correct way to deal with the invalid reasoning of a bad decision, regardless of content.

So, Mr. Boortz, how have the McCains of the Republican Party done over the most recent decades?

Half-hearted "conservatism" which avoids lessons in the essential principles of the Declaration of Independence will fail when an all-out attack on those principles is under way. Convincing youth requires providing lessons-- not avoiding them. Youth are smart. They see what is happening around them.

Liberty is more endangered now than ever, and its very foundation is the Creator-endowed right to life and liberty!

"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them." - Thomas Jefferson

Where are so-called "conservatives" who will, for today's generations, articulate and defend the real foundations of America's Constitutionally-protected liberty? That is the key.

"A Memorial and Remonstrance. . . . - James Madison (Excerpt)

"Because we hold it for a fundamental and undeniable truth, “that Religion or the duty which we owe to our Creator and the Manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence.” "The Religion then of every man must be left to the conviction and conscience of every man; and it is the right of every man to exercise it as these may dictate. This right is in its nature an unalienable right. It is unalienable; because the opinions of men, depending only on the evidence contemplated by their own minds, cannot follow the dictates of other men: It is unalienable also; because what is here a right towards men, is a duty towards the Creator. It is the duty of every man to render to the Creator such homage, and such only, as he believes to be acceptable to him. This duty is precedent both in order of time and degree of obligation, to the claims of Civil Society. Before any man can be considered as a member of Civil Society, he must be considered as a subject of the Governor of the Universe: And if a member of Civil Society, who enters into any subordinate Association, must always do it with a reservation of his duty to the general authority; much more must every man who becomes a member of any particular Civil Society, do it with a saving of his allegiance to the Universal Sovereign. We maintain therefore that in matters of Religion, no man’s right is abridged by the institution of Civil Society, and that Religion is wholly exempt from its cognizance."

I’m not that familiar with Neal’s show, so maybe this has been his opinion for some time?

I don’t see how gay ‘issues’ are going to swing the election one way or the other.

They will lose if they don’t run an across the board conservative campaign.

Just because the establishment refuses to defend pro-life, pro-natural family, 2d amendment, etc., doesn’t mean there isn’t a rock solid defense of it.

Ronald Reagan ran a fiscal/social/defense conservative campaign, defended it completely, and won by a landslide.

If your defense is “crickets” on abortion, then of course you’re going to lose.

The bigger problem the GOP faces is that the party establishment has no credibility on ANY issues ("social" or economic).

If you have any doubts about that, just go back to the period in the early 2000s when the Republican Party controlled the White House and both Houses of Congress ... and take a look at how much the Federal government grew during that time.

Libertarians are for abortion, pot legalization, gay marriage and an end to US military power. Plus they are disruptive and destructive to the Republican party.

I’ve long suspected they were Democrats. They sure act like them.

in some ways I agree with them. I am of the “Leave me alone!” mind set when it comes to the government. But they always go far past my limits..

It is just his way of trying to stay relevant and present in today’s mix of publically disseminated opinions. He’s a blowhard opportunist out to make a buck wherever he can.

Even from the very comfortable confines of his featherbedded retirement. Always on the lookout for more feathers.

Keep in mind that Boortz advised us to “let algore have the election” during the recount. Never mind the facts.

He has friends who are homosexuals, therefore, laws should accommodate their lifestyle.

Baby killers have rights.

He claims his own wife never listens to his show. IMO that’s a good thing, because he’s very disrespectful to her in the way he talks about other women.

In order to justify it, he says all men are pigs.

Perhaps the Conservatives should leave the Party to assure their victory.

I guess you are probably right. The only time I’ve heard the guy is when he’s Hannity’s guest.

Hell, I agree with him to a certain extent that I don’t care one way or the other about gay issues, BUT when he starting talking about how it’s an indisputable fact that they are born that way I was a bit shocked. I even tried to call to argue with his ridiculous point.

If the Republicans going for offices are not at least heavily fiscally conservative they do NOT deserve a vote or an office, they would be part instead of an ongoing problem.

In more than twenty years of doing politics, if I’ve learned anything at all, it’s that if they won’t provide equal protection for the little babies, once the political pressure is on, they won’t protect anything else.

Well, except their own backsides.

The conservatives don’t run on the social issues, the big socialist money MAKE them an issue. They spend money early and paint the Republican candidate as a women hating racist homophobe before the the Republican candidate spends a penny. See ‘13 Va Governor race for details.
