Mao killed more of his own citizens than Hitler and Stalin. Socialism and communism are deadly and bankrupt. May God turn America away from such and back to himself and life and liberty.

The Chinese Revolution was a genuine uprising against the Japanese occupation and later against corrupt Kuomintang regime that ruled China.

Much of the Mao worship is due to the feeling that Chinese ideals have given way to the reality of modernizing the world’s most populous country. The Communist Party cannot really disown Mao without losing its authority; this is different from what the Soviet Communists did in the course of de-Stalinization in the late 1950s.

The Chinese government has accepted nationalism and China’s rising Great Power status as the benchmarks of China’s future. And leaving the Maoist legacy of Communism behind is easier said than done.
