It was the gift that kept on giving: The disastrous roll-out of the health-insurance exchanges provided daily fodder for Republican opponents of Obamacare. And the dire state of U.S. health care, coupled with a headlong rush by people to get health insurance, gave Democrats ample opportunity to say we told you so.
So once its January 2014 and people can start having their new insurance and all the deadlines have passed, can we relax and talk about something other than health reform?
Not a chance, say experts. They predict 2014 will be, if anything, worse than 2013.
(Excerpt) Read more at nbcnews.com ...
of course 2014 will be worse! the employer mandate kicks in next year, which will be 1,000 times worse than what we just went through, 10’s of millions will be losing their insurance.
This crap article is full of standard liberal tripe, like:
“People will squeal, but studies show that the care is just as good for most people using a narrow network of doctors and hospitals as those who have more choice, Jost says.”
In other words, perfecting things as the elite prefer is more important than freedom.
I won’t bother with another quote but the ever-popular “we can fix most of this by improving our messaging” is in there too.
phfft.
“Democrats and the administration can be expected to emphasize disparities in coverage. Only about half the states elected to expand Medicaid to people who wont be able to afford to buy health insurance. Because the ACA assumed all the states would expand Medicaid, millions of poor in states such as Texas and Florida will be left with no coverage.”
Hmmm. Missed that wrinkle. Cancelled plans and nothing to replace it.
Though in truth, the low end of working poor was always where the real issue was.
Most = more than half.
The system we had was, flawed as it was, was working for “most people”.
Just wait until government fully takes over health care. All of your most private, intimate decisions will be taken from you and your family and played out in the public arena.
If you really want that treatment you will be forced to go to the media and try to intimidate the bureaucrats into giving it to you. That’s how it works in just about all the countries that have nationalized health care.
The presstitudes have knee paid on for Barry. This story is one big fat lie. What it says basically is no matter how loud you whine you will suffer with inferior care. They flip you the finger and tell you to like it.
...but studies show ...
I don’t agree when he says that “everything is fixable given time.” There are so many last-minute, rushed patches being applied to the computer system that they are creating a maintenance monster that will eventually become so difficult and expensive to fix it will collapse of its own weight.
In other words...."You VILL like it, komrades!! Dare ees NO point in arguing, uttervise! Vee know exactly vats best for you."
And, once a single payer system is put in place, the government will come after your savings to fund it.
That's not true.
Well, here! This is my Happy New year thought for y’all!
I refused in 2013, and I am here to tell you ... I refuse, in 2014, too!!!
