Post #32 answers that. He was the guy on the cell phone to 911 outside the school who told them about the broken glass in front and the gunshots in the school. It turned out to be a parent of a student in the school who foolishly ran when he saw men with guns coming after him. He was the one chased up into the woods and handcuffed -- a waste of valuable time.

So he calls the cops then runs when they show up.

It’s interesting that this individual, a parent, has not consented to be interviewed by the media or anybody for this report. He just disappears.

I think that little episode was an embarrassment both to the police and that parent who works at another public school in another district. The parent might have thought that the guy coming at him was the shooter and that’s why he ran but in doing so he cost the police valuable time.

The 6 police that chased him wasted valuable minutes that should have been spent entering the school. Instead they thought they had the shooter or a second shooter.

Then they heard shots continuing from in the school and quickly realized that they had a parent of a kid in the school. Surely dispatch had this guy on the line and should have notified the responding units but they didn’t — an obvious breakdown in communications that the report glosses over.

Incidentally the police report vindicates the police slow response because the police were afraid that there might be a second shooter — even though all reports coming from the school indicated only one shooter.

Then they enter the school from the back instead of the front where the glass was broken and the shooting was occurring. They entered as far from the shooting as possible.

If instead of wasting time with this scaredy-cat parent which took place at 9:39 they had gone through the front glass they might have been able to save the 6 kids in classroom 8 who were shot at about 9:40 as the other 10 kids made their break for it from the school.

The further embarrassment is that while all the police were in the back taking this parent down [9:39] and then paralyzed in worry over a second shooter until they entered from the back of the school at 9:45, these 10 kids in the front of the school, where the police were needed but nowhere around, were saving themselves and made a run for it at about 9:40.

The report understandably glosses over this by distorting the timeline and claiming that he committed suicide at 9:40.
