From the Slimes article:

“Months of investigation by The New York Times, centered on extensive interviews with Libyans in Benghazi who had direct knowledge of the attack there and its context, turned up no evidence that Al Qaeda or other international terrorist groups had any role in the assault. The attack was led, instead, by fighters who had benefited directly from NATO’s extensive air power and logistics support during the uprising against Colonel Qaddafi. And contrary to claims by some members of Congress, it was fueled in large part by anger at an American-made video denigrating Islam.”

Walter Duranty would be so proud.

Allow me to call into question the very nature of the “research” conducted by the NYSlyme.

First, it was after the fact about a well known event. It sounds like it was using people vested in the event. And, it sounds like impressions after the fact were shared.

Go into the streets in Boston NOW, and interview “interested” people about the marathon bombing. Then make a report on their “impressions”, and see how influenced their impression are NOW by the facts that have come out since the moment it happened. Their “at the moment it happened” impression can never be recaptured.

And we have proof that social media didn’t start circulating discussion about the video until 24 hours after the attack. And we know for a FACT, that it wasn’t translated into Arabic at the time of the attack.
