Country star, actor and restaurateur Toby Keith sparked a controversy after banning guns from his newly opened eatery in Virginia.
The 52-year-old Oklahoma native held a grand opening last week for his newest venture, Toby Keiths I Love This Bar & Grill in the DC suburb of Woodbridge.
But many of the singers fans who turned up for the event were shocked to discover a sign in the window that announced: NO GUNS PERMITTED.

Think about it. If GLAAD said “we’re not gonna watch Duck Dynasty anymore if Phil is on there... so how about that?” What do you think Phil would say? Its the same answer.

Yes, but don’t pretend to support conservatism.

I never did care for him or his music, so, no big deal to me.

I remember seeing Mickey Gilley some years ago talking about the problems of a famous people owning businesses.
He said he had to keep an army of attorneys on retainer because hardly a week went by without someone pouring water on a bathroom floor and laying in it. He said they even had video of a guy walking into a bathroom and intentionally smashing his face into a sink and he got sued for not having security in the bathroom to prevent it.

My aunt and her husband used to manage him, before he became a big star. Played lots of small places here in OKC. They split with him because in her words "nobody can work with Toby. He won't listen to anyone and he only wants to do whatever Toby wants to do". When he got sideways with the record company he wrote "how do you like me now" and sold a few million copies.
He's self made, he owns a really nice ranch, flies probably the biggest american flag in oklahoma, and the OU sooners flag below it... has horses etc. Gives money to charity and the community. He's a good guy who is self made and does things the way he wants to. In most cases we have a lot of respect for people like that.

And if someone gets killed in a "gun-free zone" the same thing should happen.
Agreed.

IMO, Who cares? Northeast seaboard is about as far from my world as Moscow.
Hmmm. On second thought, maybe Moscow is closer to my world now.

Woodbridge, VA is 25 miles outside DC. VA has concealed carry with certain restrictions. I’m OK with no-guns where there will be lots of alcohol consumed so long as the ban is uniformly administered by mgmt.

Billy Ray Cyrus recorded Achy Breaky Heart. Yes, little Miley’s daddy. It wasn’t Toby Keith.

He will be OK. Obama and the Congress can order Americans to buy food there, and John Roberts can call it a tax.

Well, HOW is it
obvious since you said he hasn't recorded anything good "since recording 'Achy Breaky Heart'?"
There are times when obvious it IS NOT.
