Oh ... I remember the days. We had “odd and even” days in Oregon. I used to drive up to Anacortes, Washington fairly regularly from Portland. Prior to the embargo, I could always get gas, even overnight, when driving up there, But not when the embargo hit. There were literally no stations open overnight. So, I carried about three five gallon cans of gas with me, so I wouldn’t be stranded ... :-) ...
