Colorado WINS has already set aside a lobbying date to perpetuate the familiar cycle of government workers cozying up to their Democratic lawmaker friends who will, in turn, vote to send more taxpayer dollars their way. “Register Today and put in your time off request” announces the professionally crafted graphic advertising “Lobby Day,” February 24, 2013.

See what happens when a State has a lot of energy activity? Suddenly there is lots of MONEY! Maybe other States will get a clue, like New York.

Sigh, what does a meter maid, or DMV employee actually DO to get "merit pay"?

Not harass as many taxpayers? Cut it down by a few %?

The unions have a huge advantage; they are organized against the dis-organized taxpayers. In addition they negotiate with themselves while the taxpayers don’t get a seat at the table.

This is why govt unions should be banned.

They need it in order to have more time and money for political activism and more “empowerment.” How else can they finish outlawing the existence of us worthless peasants?

Federal Government employee unions can be abolished via executive order.

Coloradans are too busy smoking pot to do anything about their union problem.

Not a thing ounce a law is passed it is never rescinded. Even if you vote out the legislators who passed it the next batch (no matter what they promised) will only add to it. Be cause most of them are lawyers they have a self interest to make mores laws and complicate the existing laws to create more business for lawyers.

I have a better idea. Let’s disband the union and hire all new state workers.

My last trip to the DMV I left totally peeved. Got some young, snippy little Hispanic who wanted me to read the smallest print on the chart. She said.....you got them all wrong. I explained that I wear magnifiers to read small print and she said...well then put them on. Finally she said she was gonna put on my DL that I had to wear glasses when driving. I tried to explain to her that I only needed them for small print and had no problem reading street signs, etc. and that I actually can’t see better with them on at all times.
She just walked off so now I drive with glasses in my passenger seat within reach in case I get stopped. I can’t see with them on!
Bureacracy at its best.
