Yeah sure, but that's hardly their fault is it? Besides, most of them come to the UK to work. Actually, most mexicans come to the US to work. The real question you need to be asking is "why are we bringing huge numbers of people in to do menial low-pay jobs, when there are millions of our own citizens unemployed". Of course, if you are a conservative, you know the answer to that. People in the UK (and US) dont want to do those hard working, low paying jobs. Why should they, when our respective governments are supplying them with all the bread and circuses that they need?

This is simply a question of human motivation. Most people will take the easiest path most of the time. If we, as a society, set up conditions where it pays people not to work, then most of them won't. I dont know why liberals and socialists find this such a difficult concept to grasp. There's plenty of academic and anecdotal evidence to back it up.
