Since this rolled out, I have held the belief that this would create a class of NTL’ers. Nothing to lose. When the government sentences someone to a premature death because of a death panel, medical care withheld, either to the patient or family of, I can easily see folks going postal upon those who represent the cause of their anguish

I have seen some movies/TV shows with that premise — there is nothing to lose — and it may happen, though it will still be rare — but many people will just quietly die as a result of healthcare rationing.

There was a Star Trak episode, where on some planet, when people reached a certain age, like 65, they had to go into a “disintegrator”, no exception, so as not to become a burden on society.

That is where we are going — not the next step, but that is the direction. Suddenly social security and medicare, not to mention Obamacare would become solvent...

The ones who will most likely go off are the folks who have worked all their lives and now have health care withheld so it can be given to the lazy non working takers in our society.

Screw that. I think they found the way to start the class war they have been looking for.
