One of the prettiest girls I have ever seen was from a small town in Southern Illinois. She was with a Southern Baptist Church group and had a Sister who was nearly as pretty as she was.

If vegetarians were really all that concerned with saving the animal, perhaps they should stop eating all their food.

Revenue from hunting and fishing licenses is the #1 conservation programs are funded. While it may seem counterintuitive without outdoorsmen more animals would die and suffer.

I’ve never been hunting, but now I’m getting a strong hankering, if I can shoot some PETA shit out of the sky.

So true. From the article:

"Wildlife watchers outnumber wildlife killers five to one..."

Maybe, but I doubt it. Fishing is the number one sport in America with far, far more fans than football, basketball or baseball combined. All fishermen and hunters pay for wildlife through license fees and special taxes on all hunting and fishing gear. If it wasn't for fishermen (and women) and hunters, there would be no wildlife refuges for wildlife watchers to go to.

Maybe we should get our own drones to monitor PETA's animal killing activities...

Bubba: “look at the size of those damn mosquitos.

Remington 1100 “blam, blam, blam.”
Bubba: “I bagged 3 for 3.”

Bubba: “I aint never seen a mosquito with propellers How in the hell do we gut, skin and cook these damn thing?” “Do mosquitoes have NSA written on them?”

Leroy: “I aint going duck hunting with you anymore.”

I think that business about the number of wildlife watchers vs. the numbers of hunters and fishermen/women depends strongly on what you call a wildlife watcher. To me, a family that goes to a park, National Forest, or other such area, and sees some wildlife while there, is a lot different than the type of person who will spend weeks in the forest to observe the habits of, say, a moderately rare bird. If one was to pick a equipment dollar figure out of the air, say, how many wildlife watchers are "dedicated" enough to spend at least $100 on "equipment" (a $100 binoculars, for example) vs. fishermen/women who spend at least $100 on their equipment and a license, well... Then it is pretty clear where the real numbers (and money) to support refuges and other such wildlife areas are.

In the case of Illinois, I know there were proposals to begin start charging entrance fees at State Parks and Recreation Areas, but IDNR may not have thought that a great idea. There appears to be concern about under-visitation already. From what I have seen, in visiting some of the areas in Southern Illinois, with a few exceptions in locations and times, it looks to me as if under-use IS a big problem. Many of the State Parks and Natural Areas / Recreation Areas in S. IL seem to be practically deserted most of the time. The thought of drones discouraging hunters in the Fall probably made IDNR pale indeed.

I dream of a day where PETA will no longer exist, and all that money goes toward local shelters.
