The family-owned business at the center of the hit TV-show "Duck Dynasty" has launched its own line of guns.

The gunmaker Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by "Duck Dynasty's" Robertson clan, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.

Mossberg has begun shipping some of the shotguns to distributors, according to spokeswoman Linda Powell. She declined to name specific retailers that will carry them.

I bought a mossberg 930 last year and love it.

Very low felt recoil, even with 3” mag.

Looks like the 935 with a price over $800.00 MSRP got very expensive when the Duck logo is put on it. The 935 series is about $500.00 from Bud’s! Does the Duck logo ensure more hits?

Looks like you are comparing MSRP to retail, which will be substantially lower. The gap will likely not be that large.

I thought CTD was being boycotted for their reaction to the school shooting in Connecticut?

Father in law was a cop before he went to the District Attorneys office. He used to tell a story about when he and his partner chased someone into a metal warehouse. His partner racked the shotgun and 2 seconds later the perps came running out with their hands up. lol
Same message.

I can.

The Benelli works and feels like a piece of precision equipment - My Mossberg feels crude and unpolished by comparison.

They both do the job equally well.

The physics of shotguns are very straightforward. Basically a modern musket.

My uncle has a Benelli....went dove hunting with him...he was knocking dove out of the air at greater distances and a lot more frequently than me....finally after much begging on my part he agreed to let me use his gun...after that he was knocking dove out of the air at greater distances and a lot more frequently than me.

Amen to no more .22’s. Cannot make rimfire ammo myself; at least I can buy centerfire primers, use self-poured bullets, and down-load cartridges to save money for practice ammo.

I just bought my 14 yr old boy a Mossberg 930 in 12 ga for Christmas. We broke it down, cleaned it, removed the plug and then went out and broke a bunch of clays. That thing shoots dead on and easy recoil. Going after some chukar in a couple weeks...hope we get some shots....

The 930 is a great deal, and the only one’s I’ve heard of having problems were not cleaned prior to use. A guy over at Shotgun World Forum posting as Smitty in CT is a real expert on the 930.

Can’t beat the price, the fact that’s it from the USA (sorry but the whole Turkish thing doesn’t work for me), and that it’s a workhorse. I considered getting one as a loaner for new shooters I take to the clays range, but just let them use my bad weather gun.

Here’s a thread on one of my guns that get’s taken out now and then.
