Among the distressing things to come out of Chris Kluwe’s blistering attack on three of his former bosses is this: Somebody is a liar.
Kluwe wrote a scathing piece Thursday for Deadspin.com in which he called Vikings general manager Rick Spielman and former head coach Leslie Frazier “cowards” and skewered special teams coordinator Mike Priefer, describing him as “a bigot.”
Kluwe is convinced he lost his punting job with the Vikings because he was outspoken in his support of gay marriage, and his vitriol toward Spielman, Frazier and Priefer come from that.
He really unloaded on Priefer, saying that “if there’s one thing I hope to achieve from sharing this story, it’s to make sure that Mike Priefer never holds a coaching position again in the NFL, and ideally never coaches at any level.”

My money says Kluwe is the liar.
There have been several stories addressing this that suddenly emerged late this week, and I don’t believe in coincidences.
Payback for the Phil Robertson fiasco, perhaps?

So, if the Vikings hadn’t cut him loose he wouldn’t have said anything? If so, then the “outspoken” champion of same sex marriage would have played it both ways: he does the PC thing on one hand but “goes along to get along” on the other. That doesn’t make sense. Plus, given the world of Twitter, Facebook, Email etc.... if any Vikings coach were so anti-gay as Kluwe claims it seems impossible the information wouldn’t have surfaced. Finally, punters are even more on the team fringe than place kickers. If he had superb hang time, spectacular coffin corner average and a top 10% distance average he could show up in a tutu and nobody would have given a damn.
It’s pronounced “Clue-ey”. But since he doesn’t have one, perhaps it should be changed.
That was exactly the point PiPress columnist Tom Powers made this morning in his own piece. Kluwe is a great crusader after he’s been cut.
If it is, he didn't learn anything from it. The lesson of Phil Robertson is that there are huge numbers of people in this country who have had it up to their eyeballs with liberals telling them how they HAVE to think.
I don’t know which one of them is lying, but it’s kind of hard to argue that you lost your NFL job due to the biases of one individual when noone else has hired you.
At least the Robertson’s don’t ask taxpayers to build them a stadium.
Queers are known liars. They are also vindictive drama queens. So, I know who I’ll side with on this one.
I just hope Kluwe doesn’t decide to go “Bob Crane” on them.
And, Kluwe was also cut by the Raiders. I don’t think it’s terribly difficult to figure out who’s lying here.

Last year the brouhaha was about one Ravens player might openly support same sex marriage during the superbowl.
Since Kluwe was such an outspoken activist, why wasn’t he on the radar and nobody knew about it?
There’s no doubt that this guy needs to put a sock in it (so to speak).
The gay media was evidently hyping him big style last year, and of course the Minneapolis RedStar Tribune covered his activism, but among decent people he got no traction at all.
Not to hijack my own thread, but I think somebody went Bob Crane on Bob Crane. Which was quite horrific.
Well, you get my point. Queers can get very violent when angry. This is what Bob discovered.

That’s the thing about this article that I find the most disturbing. It’s not about revenge, it’s about destroying a man’s reputation and ability to find employment because he is accused — not proven guilty of, but merely accused — of holding a countercultural opinion.
If Kluwe was a Republican, liberals would be screaming about McCarthyism.
