So you give someone a house and they can’t do basic maintenance after 10years?
I remember us buying an old but very comfortable house back in the 60s. He had my Brothers and me going around coating it with coppersote.
I guess the idea was preventive maintenance as it showed no signs of rot.
Public housing always looks like crap ten years after people move into it. Heaven forbid people buy and then apply some Thompsons or DTS Water seal every spring.

Yep. One would think they’d show a bit of initiative and do some periodic surface maintenance on the wood.
