Rolling Stone publishes cheap Marx ripoff: ‘5 economic reforms millennials should be fighting for’
Michelle Malkin ^ | 1/4/2014 | Doug Powers

First, read the post at Twitchy and then decide if you want to give the unintentional Marxist satire at Rolling Stone a click. I’m not going to link to Rolling Stone’s capitalist website out of solidarity with the communist author.

Here’s a very brief sampling of the highlights in “Five Economic Reforms Millennials Should Be Fighting For”:

1. Guaranteed Work for Everybody

Unemployment blows. The easiest and most direct solution is for the government to guarantee that everyone who wants to contribute productively to society is able to earn a decent living in the public sector.
[...]
2. Social Security for All

But let’s think even bigger. Because as much as unemployment blows, so do jobs. What if people didn’t have to work to survive?
[...]
3. Take Back The Land

Ever noticed how much landlords blow? They don’t really do anything to earn their money. They just claim ownership of buildings and charge people who actually work for a living the majority of our incomes for the privilege of staying in boxes that these owners often didn’t build and rarely if ever improve.
[...]
4. Make Everything Owned by Everybody

Hoarders blow. Take, for instance, the infamous one percent, whose ownership of the capital stock of this country leads to such horrific inequality.

The counter-culture as promoted by Rolling Stone has gone from “don’t trust anybody over 35″ to “don’t trust anybody with an IQ over 35.”

In closing:

No, I will not link to @JAMyerson 's nonsense, but here is my official response: youtube.com/watch?v=LQCU36…

Does anyone besides me think that Twitter and Twitchy are mind-numbingly hard to follow or peruse?

> What if people didn’t have to work to survive?

So farmers don’t have to work and yet we’d still have food. Homebuilders don’t have to work and yet we still get homes. Doctors don’t have to work and we all get healthcare. Wonderful!

> the infamous one percent, whose ownership of the capital stock of this country leads to such horrific inequality.

Yeah, because they’re hoarding all that equipment. Say what you want about Bill Gates but thousands of people at Microsoft are using his buildings, his computers and his software to earn $60,000, $80,000, $100,000 a year.

Should company owners be forced to hand out industrial machinery to homeless people? We’d be about as successful as Zimbabwe.

Sadly, there are a lot of idiots who think this crap is a good idea.

Everything is fresh and new in lala land. This guy looks like Pajama Guy, only with a beard. And same goofy mindset. Even the Millennials can see this for what it is. Dude, read some history.

I take this as de facto acknowledgment by this leftist rag that private home ownership is a thing of the past (which for many young Americans is true).

Absolutely, and they’ll fall for it because it makes them feel like brilliant, intellectual geniuses.

IMHO

One evening as the sun went down
And the jungle fires were burning,
Down the track came a hobo hiking,
And he said, “Boys, I’m not turning
I’m headed for a land that’s far away
Besides the crystal fountains
So come with me, we’ll go and see
The Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
There’s a land that’s fair and bright,
Where the handouts grow on bushes
And you sleep out every night.
Where the boxcars all are empty
And the sun shines every day
And the birds and the bees
And the cigarette trees
The lemonade springs
Where the bluebird sings
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
All the cops have wooden legs
And the bulldogs all have rubber teeth
And the hens lay soft-boiled eggs
The farmers’ trees are full of fruit
And the barns are full of hay
Oh I’m bound to go
Where there ain’t no snow
Where the rain don’t fall
The winds don’t blow
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains
You never change your socks
And the little streams of alcohol
Come trickling down the rocks
The brakemen have to tip their hats
And the railway bulls are blind
There’s a lake of stew
And of whiskey too
You can paddle all around it
In a big canoe
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

In the Big Rock Candy Mountains,
The jails are made of tin.
And you can walk right out again,
As soon as you are in.
There ain’t no short-handled shovels,
No axes, saws nor picks,
I’m bound to stay
Where you sleep all day,
Where they hung the jerk
That invented work
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains.
....
I’ll see you all this coming fall
In the Big Rock Candy Mountains

1. Guaranteed Work for Everybody

The Soviets had 100% employment and you can still see the legacy of this when you visit a public restroom in Ukraine. Two women work at the entrance. One sells you admission into the facility and the other sells you about 12" of toilet paper.

1. Guaranteed Work for Everybody

Work is available in Communist hellholes but I can guaranty you aren't going to like it. The "pay" is even worse when Big Massa "State" is paying you.

The saying in Communist countries went: “They pretend to pay us, and we pretend to work.”

Wow. It looks like Marxist ideas are going to be around for a long, long time, no matter how many people are killed. Sort of like Islam.
