DUer's already blaming man-made global warming for it. Expect media to do the same.

There's nothing historic about it. It's winter. Sometimes it's colder. Sometimes it's warmer. But I've NEVER been through a winter with no snow and cold in 70 years.

Amen

"it likely will freeze over the Great Lakes and other bodies of water, meaning frigid temperatures will likely last the rest of winter, Maue said."

Fewer clouds though.

If we’re having a Little Ice Age, how can the planet be heating up?

65 and sunny on the San Fran Peninsula today. Just thought you’d like to know.

Our drought persists. Entire West Coast is under a high pressure ridge keeping storms from moving onshore. It is bone-dry here.

re: freezing the Great Lakes. That would cut down on the lake effect snow. Lake effect snow is a pain.

What's weird is that weather patterns don't set up. This would be an awful winter, except that every few days there have been pleasant breaks.

Think Orwell called that newspeak. Taking two opposing positions at the same time.

Ex - It is getting colder because it is getting warmer.

They blame global warming if it’s sunny and hot during the day and dark and cold at night.

I’m surprised they haven’t blamed global warming for the southern hemisphere having cold temperatures during the middle of our summer.

Those people are insane and clueless.

“DUer’s already blaming man-made global warming for it. Expect media to do the same.”

Yes. The tone of the article is “something very strange is going on here”, without actually invoking man-made global warming. It’s all part of the plan: get people riled up by all the “strange” and “unusual” weather. But it’s kind of like talking about Michael Jordan averaging 30 points per game, and making a big deal about the games he scores 24 or 36 — “something is amiss!”

“Well, well...uh...well...the, uh...the ice caps are uh, melting...because they, uh...then refreezing...uh...you’re racists and homophobes!”

Is the argument you’d probably get.

Had similar conditions in these parts in January 1994...a couple of days with the lows in the subteens to sub twenty, one day with a high of zero.

Also had similar conditions in late January of 1977, aggravated by a natural gas supply issue. I was in high school at the time and remember the Governor ordering all the schools closed for two or three days.

because it’s not global warming, it’s “climate change”. everyone knows that global heating causes global cooling.

c’mon man, get with the program.

“Temperatures at Lambeau Field are expected to be a frigid minus 2 degrees when the Packers and San Francisco 49ers kick off, and by the fourth quarter it’ll be a bone-chilling minus 7, with wind chills approaching minus 30,...”

As it should be.

This is going to be catastrophic for us here in WI.
We have plenty of food, sufficient shelter and heating, and winter clothing for much worse.
But we don’t have everything we need to survive it.

Please send ammo.

The earths warming! oh no, global warming! The weather turns normal.....oh no it’s climate change!

F’ing idiots ! There is only ONE statistic that ever need looking at. ONE!
I bring it up every time I hear some idiot go on about man made global warming.

If there’s man made global warming then why does the temp on mars go up and down in lockstep with earths? Martian SUV’s?

It’s the sun. When solar activity is up, so are the temps and vice versa. And right now solar activity is at it’s lowest.
