I was laughing at the assertion that Obama is a Mormon.
Actually the Mormons do believe in those rituals...
Mormonism is not Christianity..
Joseph Smith introduced dead dunking (baptism for the dead) in his new religion on behalf of a dead family member..
his brother Alvin died when he was a teenager and before he had a chance to become a Mormon....a few years later Joseph had someone stand in for Alvin and get water baptized in his name in order to “save” him..
from there other religious ordinances were added until they had that package deal that the Obamas got..
the Romneys and other Mormons actually believe the heresy of dead dunking...
if they didn’t they wouldn’t be Mormons..
there are many threads dealing with the unBiblical practice of baptism of the dead..the Mormons claiming its in the Bible, the Christians correcting them and saying it is not..
One major error of dead dunking is this..
While we Christians believe that once we are dead that’s that...its too late
Mormonism says that No its never too late you can be in Hell and if someone is dead dunked in your name you get out of Hell and go to the Mormon after life..
That’s what happened to Obamas Mom..
Mormons take this junk seriously and have fought Christians tooth and nail over this pagan practice...
