Isn’t Houston the city where the lesbian mayor is getting hitched to her same-sex partner?

However, it is reasonable to point out that they weren’t disciplined for praying, but for using school property for private purposes. A quite arguably praiseworthy private purpose, but certainly it wasn’t school district business.

So, if a few employees get together to share birthday cake in someone's office, they should have disciplinary letters entered into their files?

The relevant question is more along the lines of whether they would have been disciplined for tying up a back-channel of the radio system for some other non-school reason.

Didn’t say I agreed with the school system’s decision, only that they weren’t disciplined for praying.

Their actions were indisputably using school equipment for non-school business. This is equally indisputably a violation of appropriate school policy. So what they (and you) are asking for is a waiver of enforcement of school policy because intentions were good. That is very different from the article’s claim that they were punished for praying. BTW, I tend to agree that an exception would be appropriate in this case, but let’s at least recognize that’s what it is. Those involved are apparently mostly of the high-melanin variety, so they’ll probably get a pass. A lot less tolerance out there for religiosity by melanin-deficient Americans.

Very logical. Discussing football at the water cooler - disciplinary letter. Birthday cake in an office - disciplinary letter. Show a couple photos of your grandchild while sitting in the conference room - disciplinary letter.

Apparently you don't understand how radio works. You can't tie up a channel. If necessary, anyone with immanent business can break in. Thus the origination of the well known CB radio preface "Breaker, Breaker".

Twist it anyway you like and it will still be easy to logically demonstrate this was a specifically targeted action which should be offensive, no, highly offensive to anyone.

They were disciplined for praying. Period.

There is a war on Christianity. This is one example of many incidents where people are being punished for expressing their faith.

Last time I checked, our Constitution allowed for freedom of religion (not freedom from).
