Good decision in my opinion. Granting Imminent Danger Pay just for being in an area where there is no true imminent danger is nothing more than a boondoggle, and cheapens the proper recognition of those relative few who are serving in actual combat.
If the list is true, then I hope and trust Chicargo, Destroit and DC are all on the list...
Naaaaaah, nothing bad could happen in any of those places. Not now. Not since dumbo has made the world a peaceful and safe place.
Any place you are required to wear a reflective safety belt off of the flight line is not an imminent danger area.
Much simpler.
Anyone know how much “Imminent Danger Pay” is these days?
Back in Nam, it was called “Combat Pay”, and we recieved $50 a month...
