Over the years I've read more than a few diatribes scribbled by leftists directed at conservatives or people considered conservatives. Virtually none of these screeds amount to anything more than ad hominem attacks. What they're really irritated with is the fact that at certain times in the nation's history the march to socialism was impeded by awful conservatives.

One of their bogus arguments they always bring up is Nixon's so-called 1972 Southern Strategy. As if Nixon was going to tell conservative Southerners to back socialist policies. There was no "Southern Strategy." White Southerners, like real conservatives everywhere, were never going to be attracted by socialist ideas as spouted by George McGovern in 1972. This article is just another in a long list of rambling, incoherent, leftist diatribes.
