Dennis Rodman defends N. Korea basketball game

In an exclusive interview with Chris Cuomo of CNN's "New Day," Rodman reacted angrily when pressed on whether the party should have traveled there given recent events in the secretive country.

The trip takes place just weeks after North Korea shocked the world by announcing the purge and execution of Kim's once-powerful uncle. There are also concerns for the welfare of U.S. citizen Kenneth Bae, who's been detained for more than a year for unknown crimes.

The other former NBA players are due to take part in a controversial basketball game on the birthday of Kim Jong Un, the country's young, unpredictable leader. The friendly contest is planned for Wednesday, when Kim is believed to turn 31.

Apparently referring to Kim, Rodman said, "I love my friend. This is my friend." He also pointed out that Kim is only 31 years old.

Rodman praised the players who came with him to North Korea, saying others had pulled out of the trip. "It's amazing how we thrive on negativity," he said.

Again, let's remember how the media and the left attacked ANYONE who went to South Africa....a nation that, while not a paradise, was likely not the hellhole of North Korea.

That’s China’s national anthem named after their President, “Hu let the dogs out.”

“likely not the hellhole of North Korea.”

Likely not? thats an understatement

South Africa used to be a beautiful well run country. Then the communists overthrew the govt and gave it to barbarians. Even with the barbarins in charge you could travel in and out and actually eat while you were there.

“Then the communists overthrew the govt and gave it to barbarians.”

In a moment of awesome sanity and in the last days of their dying regime, they called in the UN weapons inspectors and surrendered all of their nukes. Now THAT was brave. Unfortunately, it makes liberals believe that the UN can ensure there is no program just by visiting and “inspecting.”

Someone at work was crowing that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction because he’d been inspected. I pointed out that for six months we’d lost a multi-million dollar piece of Army equipment in a mere 100,000 square feet. (It was sitting in a box in shipping/receiving, clearly labeled, yet several concerted searches failed to find it.)

If we’re lucky, he’ll win against the north korean team and he’ll be thrown into a concentration camp as a result.

I heard his monicker “The Worm” is owing to some aspect of his anatomy and that Kim provides him with some especially skilled sex practitioner at some Pleasure Island he maintains somewhere.

Rodman’s 2012 bankruptcy lawyers represented him pro bono —he’s penniless.

He is penis and penniless.

Rodman thinks he has “Celebrity Immunity” in NK, but if he or his entourage PO Un, which is very easy to do, that immunity might end at the dog pound. It would be amusing if Rodman & his fellow traitors spent a few months in an NK gulag, with weeds & bark 3 meals a day.

I feel for the NK bball players. If they lose the game, especially if they lose badly, they are dog bait. This makes Rodman complicit in the likely murder & dismemberment of his opponents.

I once saw a grain of sand on the beach that was more significant than Dennis Rodman. My apologies to grains of sand everywhere for the comparison.

Good wordplay. I’m starting to think Little Kim will not allow Dennis Rodman to back out of these propoganda vignettes. Kim may have all sorts of personal and financial and criminal info on Dennis his children and all his baby mamas. The offers Dennis can’t refuse.
