Which tends to be the case. There was truth in Ikes warning about the Military-industrialist complex. A hundred years ago, the US Navy had 18-drydocks, the Royal Navy, one. The Royal Navy was three times the size of ours. WE still have military bases that are as unnecessary as some over seas,
I think we have cut the military to the bone.
How about we as conservatives focus on the Entitlements, you know, those things not mandated to the Federal Government by the Constitution.

Eisenhower’s last budget was a total of 80 billion dollars.
40 billion for the military and 40 for everything else.
The military is now a very small percent of the total.
