This is a tale of a city that is really two cities. In some parts of town, gleaming office-retail complexes rise, home prices reach into the millions and people routinely spend tens of thousands of dollars per year to send their children to private schools.

Yet within this same municipality, about one in five households lives in poverty. Many single parents go to bed worrying about how to feed their children or protect them from crime and substandard public-school educations.

This is not Bill de Blasio’s New York. It is Washington, D.C., where the gap between top earners and everyone else is actually greater than that in New York, according to a 2011 Census Bureau repor

The word from liberals, republicans, conservatives, and ALL political animals alike....

Crickets.

At least all of them have learned not to shit where they sleep.

Once you join the political elite, party affiliation no longer matters, and it all just becomes a means to line one’s pockets at the expense of everybody else.

But still shell out for the smart phones, manicures, etc.

I've seen enough pictures of welfare people who "worry" about food to know they're generally obese with the latest gadgets and frankly don't look hurting for anything.

"Poverty" in America is quite upscale compared to poverty worldwide.

Once people realize that truth, that for practical purposes the GOPE is the tag along junior partner of the uniparty, it all makes sense.

One president, nine black-robes, 535 congressmen/senators are entitled to get rich as they oppress fifty states and over 320 million Americans.

American elections are just about as significant as those in Venezuela. They both serve to condone future crimes.

Only a fool thinks elections alone will lead to restoration of our freedoms.
