A judge has issued a stunning verdict in a homeschooling case in Germany, ordering that the parents cannot have custody of their children because the family might move to another country and homeschool, posing a concrete endangerment to the children.
Dirk and Petra Wunderlichs case made international headlines in August when 20 armed police arrived with a battering ram and forcibly took their four children from their home in Darmstadt, Germany, and enrolled them in public school.
As WND reported at the time, the children, ages 7 to 14, were taken into police custody. They were allowed to return home three weeks later when their father and mother, given no choice by the federal bureaucracy in Germany, agreed to allow their kids to attend public schools despite their objection to the social and religious instruction there.
According to the Home School Legal Defense Association, an international organization advocating for homeschool rights, the ruling from Family Court Judge Marcus Malkmus rejected emphatically the parents request to regain custody.

Now that’s a judge that needs a new neck-tie.
Never let the state educate your children.
All children need to be enrolled and indoctrinated in state operated schools for socialism to work. Critical thinking, logic,, and common sense are banned there.
He feared the children would grow up in a parallel society without having learned to be integrated or to have a dialogue with those who think differently and facing them in the sense of practicing tolerance.
This is disgusting, fascism at its worst. Will our government say anything? No, too focused making sure pedophiles can adopt and prey on kids from Russia. A disgrace of the highest order is being committed by this sh7thole country that resembles Orwell’s 1984. We should have turned it into a permanent colony after WWII. Germans apparently cannot have a country without imprisoning people in it.
Can someone tell me exactly where we are with this case? Are the family still in America? What is going on in the courts, are they trying this case in the family’s absence?
My wife and I worked hard to put our son through a Christian school. It has paid off ... he is a well educated 37 year old conservative. A conservative with strong moral values.
The judge seems to have an issue with the United States.
+Obama and Holder appealed a decision that granted them asylum they both deserve a new necktie. This is pitiful!

Too bad parents will never see the day when they can download their wisdom directly into children bypassing the bastions of orthodoxy that is the state ran schools...
Oh wait, they will.... sometime in the future.
I travel thru Germany occasionally.
After a few interactions, I’m usually convinced that they haven’t changed that much, and its a good thing that U.S. bases are still there.
It will be a long time before we can trust them on their own.
All the while Muzzies are raising up their own parallel society on German soil with narry a peep from the authorities.
Doing the same with 3. Killing us financially, but know it's worth it.
Thanks for clarifying. This family in the article need to flee the country, and soon.
Germans have no concept of Freedom. Their country has deep roots in the heavy hand of govt.
Any German seeking to Homeschool should come to the US and not be vocal about their intentions first.
I believe this judge grew up pulling wings off flies and putting battery acid on dogs tails.
Shakespeare had it wrong .. autocratic ‘judges’ first
If you like your children, you can keep your children.
Homeschooling sure is a lot cheaper.
