Police union draws fire over swearing toddler 'thug' video
The diapered child is bombarded with obscenities and racial slurs by the adults around him.
The African-American toddler knocks down a chair and gives nearly as good as he gets, responding to some of the comments with an upraised middle finger and telling one of the adults at one point, "Shut up, bitch." The adults laugh and prompt him to repeat other crudities. Just another day on the Internet -- until the police union in Omaha, Nebraska, posted the clip on its website to highlight what it called the "cycle of violence and thuggery" the community faces.
Now, the Omaha Police Officers' Association is under fire from the city's police chief, the ACLU and at least one community leader. They say the move needlessly antagonizes the city's minority communities, who make up about a quarter of Omaha's 409,000 residents.

Notice it is an unseen young man who is feeding words and phrases to the baby to repeat. The baby is simply trying to please his elders; he has no idea what he is repeating, only that the older male is pleased with his responses. The women are silent, making no effort to stop the man from teaching this filth to the baby. Are they afraid of him?

Uh no. I don’t support that. It wazs my understanding that the police union was using this video for “entertaiment”.
Oh no. Not at all. See the link in post 23. The police had used this a warning and a teaching tool to create awareness of crime in their community. They also notified Child Protective Services.
I think the police acted very wisely here.

The person who originally put the video online claims to be the boy’s uncle. He is not too pleased with folks upset about the toddler’s environment and the adults who surround him.

Maybe you are right. But given the kindof atmosphere created as of late, they should have reconsidered.
People who made the video are idiots who shouldn’t be reproducing.
Interesting in light of Eric Holder’s statements about biased discipline in schools. We certainly can’t go tellin’ the truth now can we?
