Liberal defenders of the president seem to be in panic mode over former Secretary of Defense Bob Gates’ forthcoming book “Duty.”
On CNN’s “AC 360 Later” Tuesday night, host Anderson Cooper’s panel discussed the scathing criticisms leveled against President Obama by his former defense secretary. Panelists Andrew Sullivan and Jeffrey Toobin dominated the conversation, defending the president at all costs — even by inventing facts.
“I also find it hard to understand because he says at a certain points that he agrees with most of the actual decisions that Obama took in foreign policies, and yet swings at him in the rest of the thing,” blogger Sullivan said. “To say that there was something wrong about Obama trying to get out of Afghanistan, when he was elected to get us out of Afghanistan!”

At another point, Gates writes that both Clinton and President Barack Obama opposed the troop surge in Iraq out of concerns that it would negatively affect their 2008 presidential candidacies.
“Hillary told the president that her opposition to the [2007] surge in Iraq had been political because she was facing him in the Iowa primary,” writes Gates in his forthcoming memoir, according to the Woodward excerpt. “… The president conceded vaguely that opposition to the Iraq surge had been political. To hear the two of them making these admissions, and in front of me, was as surprising as it was dismaying.”

Nobody watches CNN. No need to worry about whatever they say.
One can not make up “facts.” Facts stand alone without artificial attemps at creation. One makes up lies to peddle as facts but they are not facts.

But, but, butt getting elected is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than doing the right thing, having integrity. It has been a long time since integrity ruled our political ‘leaders’. More’s the pity.
I knew all I needed to know about him well before the 2008 election. Three times he voted against BAIPA in Illinois. The a** has no conscience nor integrity.
