My point is that pretending the existence of Islamic holy sites on the Temple Mount is a modern ruse is silly. The site is important to Jews and Muslims and has been since long before the creation of the modern state of Israel.
Islam has only been around since about 600 AD or so.
There had been 2 temples there on the mount, no mosques.
It is Islamic practice to erect mosques on top of Jewish or Christian sites as a sign of conquest. Nothing less. That is all that mosque is.
It is ONLY significant to them as a way to prevent the Jews from rebuilding the temple.
That is all.
