Gates has a book to flog but he’s about to get the Phil Robertson treatment.

"Can you imagine if the people of this country had been told that Obama's opposition to Iraq was purely political?"

Nothing would have happened. "Hope and change," Obamaphones, Obamacare, free stuff...Who's on American Idol? Those things matter. November of 2008, the republic committed suicide. All that remains is a cargo cult.

Rush is right.
Gates had info that our soldiers deserved to know.

I agree with Rush that folks such as Bob Gates who remain quiet as they observe the mendacity of Democrats in power, such as President Obama and Hillary Clinton, his Secretary of State, then ‘tell all’ years later when the information is useless other than to validate what conservatives already knew, are doing a disservice to their country. That the left is scrambling to minimize the damage from Gate’s book and the media will help all they can tells us that Gate’s observations were correct. Democrat politicians are all about appearance (’politics’) that are intended to further the leftist agenda which is to reduce the United States of America into a second-rate socialist state, complete with a dictatorship and police powers that make citizens little more than prisoners-at-large.

Gates served life in the Army. He may have some honour.

Yet another in an endless line of examples of why electing people with principles... who STICK TO THEM... matters. They do things like appoint other principled people to non elected positions. SecDef for example.

Think of the brave men and women who gave their all on a war that was only intended as political posturing.

Their lives were sacrificed so that Obama could deceive the voters.

Dying for a greater good is sad, but dying to prop up a jackass's political ambition is beyond contemptible.

[Art.] We know they disdain the military.

Not strong enough, Rushbo. Try "loathe and despise, with a coruscating hatred and contempt."

That'd be closer to it.
