Police are investigating whether an incident involving a man punching a woman in the face for no apparent reason is related to the "Knockout Game."
Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department said just after 4:30 p.m. Monday officers responded to a call of an assault and battery in the 14000 block of Blossom Hill Road. Witnesses told police a man confronted a woman in a strip mall parking lot and struck her in the face with a single closed fist.
The victim fell to the ground and sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Manny Singh, who owns the nearby Los Gatos Pizza, said he saw the victim after the incident.
"She was crying. She was crying really bad," he said. "She said she didn't do anything wrong. I don't know what happened to her."
The suspect ran away after the incident and before officers arrived on scene, police said.
Some people at a dance studio located near where the crime occurred are concerned that the attack is connected to a national phenomenon called the "Knockout Game."
The game involves people attempting to knock out unsuspecting victims with a single sucker punch for amusement purposes, according to police. Investigators, however, said they do not have enough evidence to connect the crime to the game.
"There is no specific indication that it is part of the Knockout Game, but again we're not ruling out any of those motives," Sgt. Clinton Tada said.
The suspect is described as an African American adult in his early- to mid-20s, 5 foot 9 inches to 6 feet tall, slender build and short, brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a white baseball cap backwards.

That A-hole crossed the tracks with the intent to cause harm in an area he doesn’t belong.
I can just imagine an attempt at a knockout game in Arizona.
Some 85 year old woman tottering along on her cane, getting her daily exercise, when some young thug, not from there, obviously, likely having only been there a day, leaps out from behind a bush to punch her.
Later, the policeman asks her what happened.
“Well, I saw him coming, so I pulled out my snub nose .38 and gave him one in each lung, one in the crotch, and one between the horns. And that was about it.”
“Now why in tarnation did he leap at you?”, asks the officer.
“I figure his mama didn’t raise him right”, replies the lady.
I threw some punches in Los Gatos, once.
I was at the Black Watch, had a few too many Zombie drinks and a hot woman.
Apparently some dude was interested in her, she was not interested.
I told him to move on, he got belligerent, I made sure the insult I hurled back would instigate action on his part.
It did. I knocked him out and left with the beautiful woman.
She was great.
It was a good night.
I won’t touch those Zombie drinks no moh ....
I believe, at this time, that it is a part of the female anatomy.

I think it was one of the ‘experts’ on msnbc that opined if Fox and the Conservative talk show hosts would just ‘drop it’ the appeal would fade and it would stop.
In my ‘fractured’ reading between the lines, is msnbc saying that Black Youth watch Fox and listen to Conservative talk radio and would not know this ‘game’ existed if they didn’t discusee it?

I don’t think it will stop until the likes of Obama and Holder say it must stop.
