For U.S. Vets, Violence In Fallujah Brings Mixed Feelings BY JAMES SPERRY
The home of some of the most ferocious fighting during the U.S. war in Iraq is once again witnessing extreme violence not seen in the country since the last of U.S. troops left two years ago, as al Qaeda insurgents regain control of the city of Fallujah in Anbar Province.
In total, almost a third of the 4,486 U.S. troops killed in Iraq died in Anbar Province. Fallujah was the scene of two significant battles in 2004 - Operation Vigilant Resolve and Operation Phantom Fury where U.S. military fought against al Qaeda militants.
News of the return of al Qaeda to the city has stirred strong emotions among the men and women who fought in Fallujah, the largest urban military operation involving U.S. troops since the battle for Hue City, Vietnam, in 1968.
"I'm absolutely pissed; I don't know how to word it really. It's infuriating, it's just like everything we did and what my brothers and I did, was all for naught," former Marine Matthew Brown, 29, from Fayetteville, N.C., told CBS News.

FUNARaq has pissed on the graves of every American who died in that epic battle.
FUBARaq!
It would take 40 years to eliminate two generations of muzzies to calm the waters for another 100.
During the “shutown” one of the past positions I suggested was this;
The four passenger helicopter has just left its roof top heli-pad. Attached to its steel tube runner landing gear were about a dozen desperate people hanging on as the craft struggles to get airborne. It lurches skyward as one of those clinging to the steel tubes used as landing gear lets go. Falling to a death some 75 feet below to the refugee crowded lamding pad atop the Saigon American Embassy roof.
Most of the recalling if the defunding\ shutdowns just go back mostly to Gingrichs time when he was Speaker. There is one defunding/ government shutdown that had profound implications where hundreds of thousands died because of it. That was led by the Democrat party responding to the socialist/communist radicals that had taken over the liberal arts eduicational industry and were slowly taking that party over as well.
Not only did we lose a war because of it. But those same university socialist educators which encouraged this defunding also humiliation of our military such as calling them baby killers (only later to kill their own) and spitting in their faces. And their educational products are now destroying this country by their own R&R . Running and ruining it.
The defunding question us comming up again. Perfect time to use this little reminder
Thing is, we put a lot of resources into training Iraqi troops and police. After all that, they’re still not capable of handling Al Qaeda?
Not a case of capability, but of will. They sure don’t have the same perspective as any American.
“....the U.S. war in Iraq” That says it all.
0bama failed to negotiate an agreement for forces to remain in Iraq. He didn’t even attempt it. He cut and run, making the entire effort a waste.
I know that, but why can’t Iraqis defend their own cities?
"Allah's Will" is the standard excuse in Islam world.
How would I know? Or is that a rhetorical question? Regardless of the Iraquis’ questionable preparedness, ability, etc., we have failed to consolidate the victory that we earned with American treasure and blood. I think I can explain that one: We have a commander in chief who isn’t interested in protecting American interests around the world. He’s only interested in diddling with domestic policy and crushing political opposition...even if it costs lives, or diminishes the sacrifice of the lives already lost.
“I’m absolutely pissed; I don’t know how to word it really. It’s infuriating, it’s just like everything we did and what my brothers and I did, was all for naught,” former Marine Matthew Brown
“I’m not so sure the role of the United States is to go around the world and say, ‘This is the way it’s got to be.’”
“I don’t think our troops ought to be used for what’s called nation building.” former President (before he was President) George W. Bush
Whatever happened to that guy?
>> “I’m absolutely pissed; I don’t know how to word it really. It’s infuriating, it’s just like everything we did and what my brothers and I did, was all for naught,”
That’s what the Regime is all about — nullifying the greatest sacrifices and accomplishments.
I feel for these guys, this is what it felt like
to see the democrats not support South Vietnam
when they were invaded.
Active Duty/Retiree ping.
Technically, they can, but they won’t defend themselves because they don’t want to be perceived as being anti-muslim in their country/community. This is how fundamentalists can come into an area and exert control. They play the islamofascist card and it simply trumps everything else. The only way to get around that is to have leadership that is powerful enough that it can control what goes on even at a local level and put a damper on the fundamentalist cancer. That’s just not going to happen anytime soon.
Obama’s abrupt pull out of US troops from Iraq and soon Afghanistan will assure that these countries will soon once again be dominated by Islamic fascism and terrorists. While Bush’s policies were equally feckless lacking an end game strategy, Obama has worsened a bad situation. I pity those brave service men and women who gave their lives in these conflicts and especially their families because their sacrifices will have been for nothing. At least the veterans of these conflicts have been given the respect not given to Vietnam Nam vets who equally sacrificed in a no win political war and were treated miserably by the anti war left on their return.
I have a relative who was at Fallujah. When this news came out, he just hung his head and said, “those stupid SOBs.”
You have every right to be pissed and the American people should be right by your side.
Alas, watch for the IRS coming to check your tax reports, etc. (Can't say anything bad about der fuhrer)
