On GM vehicles you can pull the fuse on the ONSTAR mirror and disable the whole thing. At least you could.
If the data is being stored by FORD or GM..then the govt can get it. Probably already has it.

We’ve been talking about this since around 2000. And now it’s an issue?

There is a reason why my next vehicle may very well be a mid-70’s 4x4...

Imagine the day when one pulls into the gas station and the on board computer transmits to a state receiver the mileage you've just driven since the last fill up.

Can anyone say.....mileage TAX?

Is the whole unit in that windshield mirror, or are other components hardwired into the onboard computer?
Is the OnStar microphone in that mirror?
