Ted Cruz mocked President Obama's new "Promise Zones" initiative on Thursday, challenging the president for failing to address economic equality.
"It's altogether fitting that President Obama is today talking about income inequality because income inequality has increased dramatically as a direct result of his economic policies," he said.
Cruz criticized Obama for proposing more government spending and debt without addressing taxes and regulations that were choking job growth, suggesting that he was running out of new ideas to stimulate the economy.
"All of America needs to be a real 'Promise Zone' -- with reduced barriers to small businesses creating private-sector jobs -- and we should start by repealing every word of Obamacare, building the Keystone pipeline, abolishing the IRS, and rolling back abusive regulations, Cruz said.
Why is Cruz the only one yelling? Again, where is the RNC and GOP ‘leadership’ hammering the airwaves??
Guess proof again they are content to go-along-to-get-along and better suited as the minority party
U.S. job growth weakest in three years, weather a factor Reuters By Lucia Mutikani | Reuters 45 mins ago
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. employers hired the fewest workers in almost three years in December, but the setback was likely to be temporary amid signs that cold weather conditions might have had an impact.

Cruz should in my opinion, lose the talking points about Obamacare.
He needs to talk about American growth.
It’s the Lie. “I’m giving you the winning lottery ticket!”
Then when it fails it’s the conservatives’ fault!! And all the racist, bigoted, nasty finger pointing comes out because it appeals and they aren’t blamed for their own complicity in their situation. Dictators always use this technique.
It works when no one shouts liar and when the media chooses to side with and support the oppressors (’cause they’re too lazy, too compromised and too ignorant about history to get a real job and contribute).
There will be no growth with Obamacare.
Well I am limited in my ability to keep discussing this, this subject is largely off-limits to me, but I really wanted to just say to Ted Cruz I STRONGLY support everything he supports, except his position of completely abandoning all aspects of Obamacare.
In my opinion there is one good there, which is the universal coverage for those not otherwise covered. In my opinion the GOP needs to get off its duff and create an alternate coverage system, right now.
Now.
That said I must not get into a discussion about that, just please be aware there are those on our side, who do not support Cruz on this (although we are strongly on his side).
And I mean strongly.
I am 100% for Cruz, but for this one matter.
Ted Cruz Ping!
If you want on/off this ping list, please let me know.
Please beware, this is a high-volume ping list!
I am not supporting illegals.
Period.
I must not get into a debate on this though. I just hope Ted Cruz and his supporters can wrap their minds around the truth that there are in fact lots of people out here in America ready to support Ted Cruz 100%, who don’t want to eliminate insurance available for those who can’t otherwise obtain it.
Just think about that please.
I assure you I am (very) conservative, in many regards.
Don’t let political ideology blind you to otherwise good ideas.
That is my point.
GOP, think about this. Come up with another idea.
Please.
Cruz can walk and chew gum at the same time.
I know. :D
I am strongly FOR Cruz, but he makes me uncomfortable with this one issue.
Maybe it’s just a debating point. I fully recognize that possibility.
I just don’t think he should push for repealing the insurance changes, until the GOP has an alternate.
That is my point.
GOP get an alternate.
That’s it. I’ve gotta go. Moderator I’m sorry I don’t ordinarily get involved in this subject, if I crossed any lines please just nuke my entire post on this.
I am not looking for a fight on this.
I am just saying we cannot ignore the needs of an increasing number of Americans, who don’t have insurance otherwise.
Not everyone has a government-insured insurance plan.
Anyway that’s all from me. Have a good one.
Good for Ted. The GOP needs to be mocking that POS 24/7
Uh, who wants to eliminate insurance for those who otherwise can’t afford it?
But with Obama Reid Pelosi et al it is THEIR way- the utterly destructive obamacare - or the highway.
Obamacare is a wrecking ball.
That’s the truth.
People who don’t deal properly with that truth can get stuck in “but what about those that can’t otherwise obtain insurance” but it’s wrong and utterly destructive to our way of life in America to be depending on obamacare for that answer.
IOW, depending on a wrecking ball, to help some people, despite wrecking everything.
The other side, our side, has some great ideas about that but cannot enact any of them because of the political situation.
An impossible conundrum.
And a disaster.
Well put.
This is why Paul Ryan is dead to me and just about everybody on FR. He was negotiating with arguably the most stupid person in the whole Senate, and couldn't protect the vets.
Except that Democrats would have none of it. Putting an end to the fraudulent collection of tax credits by illegal immigrants would hurt the most vulnerable, they argued. "This idea of going after children is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard," Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer said in floor debate Thursday. "I am shocked I am shocked. You're going to hurt children. You're going to take away food out of their mouths."
So, according to the Rats, "cheating the welfare system" is now an official welfare program in and of itself? "Hey Babs, don't you think maybe the people cheating the welfare system are the ones stealing food from the mouths of hungry children??" I think that's the most insane thing I've heard this new year, and may just hold that title for the whole year.
I swear to G-d that had to have come from John Semmens. I did a search on that, and that idiot Boxer really said it.
The two are closely related.
