Gov. Chris Christie’s load of bull: Fired aide Bridget Kelly merely a patsy

Gov. Chris Christie’s load of bull: Fired aide Bridget Kelly merely a patsy in attempt to shelter Port Authority cronies, himself

What did the governor know about the George Washington Bridge lane closures, and when did he know it? Ex-Port Authority executive David Wildstein pleaded the Fifth Wednesday, so we wait until an independent investigation can reveal the whole story.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s one-hour-and-forty-seven-minute self-serving, self-pitying display of contrition on Thursday was a climactic act in a brazen cover-up that threatens to further unravel his political career.

Ever so thoroughly the governor scoured the thesaurus for words of apology, regret and painless self-flagellation while nervily playing the victim and mercilessly destroying the aide who played only a supporting role for the George Washington Bridge political revenge plot. Christie needed blood to express his outrage to the public, so he drew it from deputy chief of staff Bridget Kelly for the sin, the governor said, of lying to him. Perhaps, Kelly did lie, although it seems incredible that anyone would flat-out attempt to deceive an intense, emergency inquiry.

Regardless, Christie made roadkill of Kelly and his former campaign manager while wholly exempting the close pals who were central to the lane-closure conspiracy that caused four days of gridlock and dangerously slowed emergency response in Fort Lee. Pathetic.

The governor gave three truly guilty parties, David Wildstein, Bill Baroni and David Samson, passes. Each is a Christie lieutenant who held a high position at the authority. While their exact roles are still hidden — and Christie saw no reason to inquire about them — each either engineered, concealed or did nothing about the interstate transportation outrage.

I’m sure Bridget will be working next week for a Christie buddy....and probably with a big raise. I think you can tell from her email that she got a go ahead before she did this.

“I’m sure Bridget will be working next week for a Christie buddy....and probably with a big raise.”

Another favorite ploy is to have a publisher issue a book contract for a book they never expect to receive. It works like this. You contact a publishing buddy and negotiate giving them x dollars of which they keep a percentage and pass the rest along in a contract. Total deniability and perfect laundering.

Was he insinuating that Bridget went out and moved the cones herself? No one else was involved?

If it was all Bridget’s fault, why is David Wildstein pleading the Fifth?

I’m sure the Daily News is all over Obama as well. The biggest liar we’ve had in the White House.

Obama is a crap piece of turd. The Rove-Priebus-Christie GOP should hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior.

Here's the problem...When the bridge was closed and everything disrupted, you can't tell me Christie wasn't on the phone to everyone involved.

And if he wasn't, why not??

That's why I know he's lying his a** off.

I am sure Bridget’s severance settlement was generous.

We do know Christie was on the phone with Karl Rove and Reince Priebus and had them cut off campaign funds to Ken Cuccinelli and divert the money to him and his cronies.

Absolutely, doesn’t matter if we don’t win.

Rove-Priebus-Christie should be removed from office/power but focusing on this one incident only plays into the lefty agenda. They should be removed because the are RINOs.

What did the governor know about the George Washington Bridge lane closures, and when did he know it?

Via the magic of hypocritical liberal righteousness, the editorial board of the Daily News knows exactly who is lying and who was involved.

Unfortunately, the flawless Daily News scandar has still not picked up a single blip on their screen about Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, Fast & Furious, etc.

Again, the Rove-Priebus-Christie GOP should hold themselves to a higher standard than the crap-turd Obama and his collaborators in the liberal media.

Reasonable speculation. Now what do you say we turn this kind of attention to Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, etc.?

I have never trusted Krispy. Not that I have any damning info but when you do a Barak Obama storm invitation for everyone to see, what’s the point?

Darrell Issa is conducting hearings into to all these scandals (when he's not working on his Amnesty bill).

Christie is a politician. Politicians should not be trusted by anyone. Republican, Democrat, Communist; doesn’t matter. The country will not survive unless the media returns to a state where they distrust and question every politician equally. As long as the media cheerleads for one side, we will continue slipping back into tyranny.

There won't be any e-trail leading to Christie. Politicians hire people who know what the politicians want. If Christie wanted to make things difficult for the Mayor of a small NJ town (pop 35,732), he didn't need to actually say anything.

Do you think Obama actually told the IRS to persecute conservative organizations before the 2012 election? Or just hired people who knew it was what he wanted?
