Can you blame them? The current generation had nothing to do with the cold war or problems between our countries in the past. Yet today many young Americans of the same age group categorizes them as evil.

I don’t speak Russian, so I could never go anyway. It would certainly be a difficult life over there for any American immigrant, no doubt.

Oh, I think your drop dead correct about it being difficult to immigrate and to actually live there. Odd thing is however, that in my quest to read to the end of the Internet, I’ve come across scores of blogs authored by Americans who have done just that. And it isn’t altogether clear to me just why they immigrated to Russia. The recurring statement, which I find altogether weird, is “I moved to Russia to marry my current wife with whom I fell in love while on vacation in ___________.” (Not always Russia).

I must admit, I’ve met some incredibly beautiful Russian women, but the cultural differences are so huge I can’t imagine anyone successfully bridging them. Women are from Venus to begin with.........Russian women are from the Far Side of Venus. I know, I’ve spent quite a bit of time talking to them.
