Democratic Sens. Barbara Boxer of California and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island said Thursday that they would lead a new Senate task force to knock down a "barricade of special interest lies" on climate change.
A prime goal of the group will be enlisting the support of outside interests, from corporations such as Coca-Cola to the Garden Club of America.
"We believe climate change is a catastrophe that's unfolding before our eyes, and we want Congress to take off the blindfolds," Boxer said in a briefing in her Capitol Hill office. "We know what happens when you throw the environment under the bus. There's a place where it's happening, and it's called China."

Yes. They want to make it so that there can be no new wealth by stacking the deck and using the government to suppress competition.
Pelosi, for instance, passed a law in 2007 increasing the min. wage, but omitted the American Samoan islands where she has a large canning company.
Just like the 2 parties have written a ton of laws to make it almost impossible to start a third-party from scratch.
They maintain their power by making the opportunities smaller and harder.

Face it everyone, what our so-called elected representatives in congess, senate and the presidency have shown us by their actions is that they want EVERYONE in this country to be in “debt peonage” to the government. And they are doing it one ‘reasonable tax’ at a time.
Soon it will add up to more than 100% of what you earn or possibly can earn. And then what, I foresee the time when a person’s lifetime tax debt is passed onto their heirs and so on. And then we will be a nations of debt slaves and ultra-rich masters.
And it will all be LEGAL!
