Democratic Sens. Barbara Boxer of California and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island said Thursday that they would lead a new Senate task force to knock down a "barricade of special interest lies" on climate change.

A prime goal of the group will be enlisting the support of outside interests, from corporations such as Coca-Cola to the Garden Club of America.

"We believe climate change is a catastrophe that's unfolding before our eyes, and we want Congress to take off the blindfolds," Boxer said in a briefing in her Capitol Hill office. "We know what happens when you throw the environment under the bus. There's a place where it's happening, and it's called China."

Add the IQs of both and one couldn’t get to room temp. It is time for conservatives to start exposing these idiots (which appears to be a prerequisite to be a dem senator) for what they are.

Do NOT let them get away with this.

It's not even funny anymore when the liars call everyone ELSE a liar

Odumbass swore you could keep your health plan... PERIOD. And he KNEW he was lying.

Not just misspoke, not a clerical error, not something they found out later was wrong... they KNEW they were lying, and yet they called all of us liars for telling the truth

There's a special ring in hell for people like that isn't there?

We will protest against your sponsors... we will boycott the big corporations that are financing our destruction and we will hound you until you all burn in hell. That is the only warming that you Nazis deserve!

Yes. They want to make it so that there can be no new wealth by stacking the deck and using the government to suppress competition.

Pelosi, for instance, passed a law in 2007 increasing the min. wage, but omitted the American Samoan islands where she has a large canning company.

Just like the 2 parties have written a ton of laws to make it almost impossible to start a third-party from scratch.

They maintain their power by making the opportunities smaller and harder.

A good con artist always knows when it's time to fold the con and move on to the next town.

If they keep this up, it's going to hurt them badly.

Looks like the Demo-Cong are putting on their spring Tet offensive. They realize they have to act swiftly before the November ‘14 elections.

The true climate change is in the politics of the day, where the media used to deal in truths&facts and avoid disseminating untruths and participating in chicanery and foolery.

The Senate of today is not much different from Rome’s in its final decay. Full of self-absorbed idiots with a drunken army of voters&activists ready to do its bidding.

Whenever this buffoons chime up, there should be a little voice in the back that says, “They are so sure of man made climate change that they are personally risking going to prison if it proves false!”

Whoa. Personal risk? That’s not part of the deal in which I get money and power!

Such people really are afraid of the sword of Damocles. They want money and power, but not the risk. If confronted with the possibility of risk, they skedaddle.

Face it everyone, what our so-called elected representatives in congess, senate and the presidency have shown us by their actions is that they want EVERYONE in this country to be in “debt peonage” to the government. And they are doing it one ‘reasonable tax’ at a time.

Soon it will add up to more than 100% of what you earn or possibly can earn. And then what, I foresee the time when a person’s lifetime tax debt is passed onto their heirs and so on. And then we will be a nations of debt slaves and ultra-rich masters.

And it will all be LEGAL!
