I'm living in central Florida and can tell you that the invasion is already complete (I feel terrible saying "invasion" but no other word seems to fit). There's no hope. Really. I wish I could tell you all differently, but they're staying. Illegals now have jobs, homes, and large families of American children born in the USA. Any vigorous program to return illegals to their own countries is going to divide families and only create intense hatred. Conservatives and Republicans will seen as making children suffer. That will confirm all the worst stereotypes there are about conservatives and Republicans being heartless.

The fault lies with George W Bush but he's long out of office and the damage is done. He lost the USA to illegals. It was his job to defend the borders and he blew it. We were overrun.

The horrible thing is the way young Hispanic adults and children seem to only assimilate to the worst of American culture.

If something isn't done now, if conservatives don't find some way to turn young Hispanics into enthusiastic supporters of the American way and freedom and capitalism, then we're all screwed -- royally, completely, catastrophically screwed. And we'll all soon be speaking Spanish in another socialist "utopia".

I'm open to ideas. At a minimum, the borders must be secured. And something needs to be done at the public school level to get the children of illegals to understand that the USA isn't the great Satan and that economic and political freedom works. (The descendants of native born Americans could use that lesson, too).
