The Rev. Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, will release a new book this month that is sure to spark theological and political debate, particularly because of its mention of President Barack Obama’s support of gay marriage — and the Christian belief in the coming of the Antichrist.
In his new book, “Perfect Ending,” Jeffress makes it clear that he doesn’t believe President Barack Obama is the Antichrist, a key figure in End Times theology, though he makes an important distinction about Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage, according to excerpts published by Religion News Service.
“For the first time in history a president of our country has openly proposed altering one of society’s (not to mention God’s) most fundamental laws: that marriage should be between a man and a woman,” the author writes in “Perfect Ending.”

I totally agree Obamer is not the antichrist but perhaps a forerunner. If one is not right with God, it may well be time to do so.

Guess that all depends on how you look at it.
I believe the Bible—all of it—and I have studied it for a good many years. People of faith in Christ who study the Bible know without a doubt that we are in the last days, and it is easy to see how the increasing acceptance of sin and perversion by more and more people and particularly by our leaders will make the time of the Anti-Christ easy to be ushered in.
The times are being fulfilled according to what the Jewish prophets, Christ/Messiah, and the NT apostles said, when they spoke and wrote God’s words to all people—which make it clear that Israel AND the nations will be judged when the Lord of lords and King of kings returns to Jerusalem to set up His kingdom. It is at that time that a remnant of Israel will be saved and all the nations who were opposed to the nation Israel will be judged.

That and now two major moves in very dangerous direction: strong-arming gun control "laws" to every American and embarking on making drug use no longer a felony but encouraged by the people!
Pushing gays in the military, weakening physical standards to allow more women into combat, forcing states to accept gay marriage as normal and entitled to government benefits, disarming the people and lastly moves to encourage drug use by the out-of-work people living on government benefits (paid for by hard-working American taxpayers (and an even more dangerous to our American Constitution and way of life, amnesty for millions of people coming from Third World Countries!)
Our once lawful society is becoming more and more open to mass violence (witness the story of "youths rushing a store and manager, stealing everything of value," the so-called "knock out 'games,'" an Attorney General bent on protecting and encouraging "my people!")
When Holder protected the Black Panthers and endangered Philadelphians attempting to vote, was but the first "shot heard around the world" of acceptance of minority violence against white citizenry and has gone downhill at a record pace.
Yes, the climate is becoming more and more open to the anti-Christ, certainly when believers around the world are being shut down and shut up for espousing the bible.

From 1 John, we learn that the concept of antichrist is not just the person of Antichrist from the End Times, but it is any spirit or person that denies Jesus. So it’s not just homosexuality - it is ANYTHING that goes against what Jesus would have us do.
The closer the world gets to embracing a spirit of antichrist (and it certainly seems that it is), the closer we will likely get to the appearance of Antichrist.
As an OT believer, I’ve liked Jeffress for some time, and to this day can’t figure out what caused Tim Tebow to pull the plug on an address he was to have given at his Dallas church. I don’t subscribe to this anti-Christ business, but certainly don’t disrespect those who do.
Christians made the United States. But we are becoming less free seemingly by the moment. I pray that we can ALL put it back together someday.
