How utterly NON-Jewish, if you're talking religion, which these people clearly are not. If you are a faithful Jew, how could you support abortion, when you're waiting for the Messiah to be born? How can you know which unborn child is the Messiah, and why would you gamble that He would die as a result of this political decision?

The Jewish Chronicle is probably being honest.

Let's face it. Israel isn't "Jewish" in any religious sense. It's a secular nation with a European-style parliamentary government that just happens to be located at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea.

For what I can see, it seems that most Israeli's look upon their nation's "Jewish identity" as an excuse to maintain a de facto segregated society that wouldn't be tolerated in too many modern countries.
