The Number Of Working Age Americans Without A Job Has Risen By Almost 10 Million Under Obama
Ecomonic Collapse ^ | 12 January 2014 | Michael Snyder

That headline is not a misprint. The number of working age Americans that do not have a job has increased by nearly 10 million since Barack Obama first entered the White House. In January 2009, the number of "officially unemployed" workers plus the number of Americans "not in the labor force" was sitting at a grand total of 92.6 million. Today, that number has risen to 102.2 million. That means that the number of working age Americans that are not working has grown by close to 10 million since Barack Obama first took office. So why does the "official unemployment rate" keep going down? Well, it is because the federal government has been pretending that millions upon millions of unemployed workers have "left the labor force" over the past few years and do not want to work anymore. The government says that another 347,000 workers "left the labor force" in December. That is nearly five times larger than the 74,000 jobs that were "created" by the U.S. economy last month.

And it is important to note that more than half of those jobs were temporary jobs, and it takes well over 100,000 new jobs just to keep up with population growth each month. So the unemployment rate should not have gone down. If anything, it should have gone up.

Cold Shot.

The excuse for closing the bridge was that they had to move Jimmy Hoffa’s body.

“They’re after someone,” diagnosed Fatty. He sighed, rubbed
his protruding belly. “Always they are after someone. What a
world! What a war!”

“Makes you tired, hi?”

“Aie, yar! Every day, every minute there is something. Last
night, according to the news-channels, they destroyed the main Spakum space-fleet for the tenth time. Today they are pursuing the remnants of what is said to have been destroyed. For months we have been making triumphant retreats before a demoralized enemy who is advancing in utter disorder.” He made a sweeping motion with a podgy hand. It indicated disgust. “I am fat, as you can see. That makes me an idiot. You wish-?”

“Ten of those small cakes with the toasted-nut -”

A belated cop pounded past the window. He was two hundred
yards behind the pack and breathless but plain stubborn.

As he thudded along he let go a couple of shots into the air
just for the heck of it.

“See what I mean?” said Fatso. “You wish-?”

During WW2, The Socialist FDR Administration instituted wage and price controls on American Companies.

Companies could not raise wages, but they could increase benefits to attract workers that they wanted.

Hence, Companies started offering Medical Insurance to keep present employees, and to attract new employees.

Now our Socialized Society considers it a “right” for an employee, and their dependents to have part or all of their medical insurance paid for by the company that they work for.

So much for the millstone burden of a bad WW2 edict from FDR.

One great thing that could come out of the total collapse of CommieObamaCare is that ONLY the citizen is responsible for any insurance product that they choose to buy.

Thus, allowing Companies to lower the price of their goods and services to the customers by the amount that they had been paying for insurance for their employees, and their dependents.

____________

In similar manner, the Socialist Labor Union Movement in the late 1800’s, and the Socialized FDR Wage Controls of WW2 have produced the relics of Minimum Wage Control and Governmental Labor rules that shackle the productivity of our Society.

Ronald Reagan was fond of saying “Businesses do not pay taxes, because consumers pay all the taxes.”

A business forced by an oppressive Government to pay a higher minimum wage to their workers will simply pass that additional expense on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.

None of the above will make any sense to the true believers in the Obama Plantation, headquartered at 1600 Plantation Avenue, Washington, District of Corruption.

BTW, is there any truth to the rumor that the Potomac River will soon have its name changed to De Nile River?

Except they have all moved to Houston, all drive single occupant cars and all are on the freeway at the same time.

“The upside is that traffic is lighter.”

Absolutely; when Chris Christie terminated the third tunnel under the Hudson River (connecting northern NJ to Manhattan), he maintained that it wasn’t necessary. The supporters (who wanted years of expensive union makework from the project) countered that if someone wanted to see a Broadway show they could use the third tunnel.

That is what their argument was reduced to; there is plenty of room on the trains going to NYC during rush hour already (the jobs that NyC lost are not coming back).
