Christie's chief of staff warned that closures had broken law HOURS after traffic lanes were opened

The woman now serving as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's chief of staff was directly informed via email about the problematic lane closures on the George Washington Bridge within hours of the closures being reversed by a New York official. Regina Egea, a longtime staffer of Christie and the incoming chief of staff to the governor was forwarded an angry message from Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority, regarding the closures on September 13. Foye's email called the closures 'a hasty and ill-advised decision' and in breach of 'federal law and laws in both states.'

Christie is a rank amateur at “taking revenge” and “punishing his enemies”, but then, he doesn’t have the IRS or the DOJ at his disposal.

It is more of a case of not having the Media playing the part of the Praetorian Guard to the Caligula Cesar (Democrat president du jour) in office.

why isn’t this also a “real scandal”? Because Christie’s a Republican? Sorry, that’s not good enough to excuse abuse of power.

Nice try MSM. You don’t get to pick our candidate after all.

Going forward, we certainly hope that is correct.

One thing that does seem correct is the MSM can choose who our candidates will not be.

“I for one expect Democrats to be corrupt. I am much more upset when I see Republicans doing it.”

Me too, and I am not a Christie fan, but it is New Jersey, the nation’s political toilet we’re talking about here so the GOPe is crooked too. You’d have the same thing if some GOPe swine were somehow elected to public office in Chicago.
I personally hope that this damages Christie badly enough to take him out of any consideration for the Presidency.

I like your question: “Should we look the other way because the Obamabots are looking the other way in all of Obama’s scandals?”

The Left would like us to look the other way because it would put us in the same pit of ethics they are. Too bad we are not falling for it. They are dupes for their Playboy President.

Christie is a RINO. It is good that the MSM is cutting him to pieces. He would be nothing but another McCain or Romney if he were to be selected for Republican Party’s candidate.

So it’s a victory when they do the right thing, even if it’s for the wrong reason.

MSM should be called by its rightful name - the Ministry of Truth.

“What was the point of spiking the ball in this way, even if it was legal?”

Christie had nothing to do with this; it is simply a diversion, keeping a high-profile Republican in the news with a fabricated scandal. He’s clean.

25 times as much coverage on a regional issue regarding a few lanes on a highway vs. national political persecution by Obama’s IRS toward thousands of little people across the country not getting any coverage at all.

That is ridiculously off balance.

Because Christie already explained himself thoroughly and canned the offender. please can we go back to the liar in chief and the NATIONAL persecutions of millions caused by his administration and let’s stop pretending there is any kind of comparison between a local highway and major ongoing corruption on a national level.

Doesn’t matter if he is a Democrat. Christie knew and he needs to go.

You misunderstand the intent of my comment, it has nothing to do with Christie.
