Washington (CNN) -- Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is facing questions over the use of Superstorm Sandy relief funds.
CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used those relief funds to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family.
The news couldn't come at a worse time for the scandal-plagued Republican, who is facing two probes into whether his staff tied up traffic near the country's busiest bridge to punish a Democratic mayor who refused to endorse his successful re-election bid.

Instead of the image of the bull in the china shop, I think of the old nursury rhyme, Humpty Dumpty. In this case, Humpty Dumpty is Christie when he takes he GOP off the wall and breaks in pieces after his contentious climb to the top. That will be a tragic outcome at a time when we need unity behind a statesman like a Ronald Reagan in the Presidency.

Exactly. This is the lesson. In a significant way Christie contributed to the reelection of ‘the one’, and his attempt to appeal to false moderates has gained him nothing, while hurting the rest of us significantly. What was the point? The left will take what you give them, use it, and then go after you anyway.
I guess the other question that comes up is, ‘did the left know about Christie's vulnerabilities prior to the 2012 election, and did this play a role in convincing him to play nice with Obama?’. Who knows.

I’m not a Christie fan, but I think the guy is being piled on.
It doesnt make sense to me. If I was Hillary I would have waited to hit him with scandals.Let the GOP get behind him and then bring him down.
