Hear, hear. I too am tired of it, unless there are truly new developements.
One thing that bothers me though is this implication that Christie would be more deserving of defense if he were more conservative. What about principle? I don’t care how conservative somebody is, if they are truly guilty of something wrong, they don’t deserve defense. I also get sick of the two-wrongs-make-a-right argument. We can cite all kinds of examples if the other side doing similar things, usually worse. But that is the kind of thing you hear from some of the vilest, most ethically challenged people on the left.
Yes, I had also noticed the argument that people relate more to Bridgegate than to the IRS abuses and thought it was silly. It doesn’t matter if you have all the 501-cs memorized, people are painfully aware of the IRS every April 15, and oftener if they have a business. I’m sorry to say that it just isn’t people on the left who are insulting Americans intligence this way.
I think the left attacked Christie hoping that conservatives would rally around him. Not going to happen.
