If you didn’t get a subsidy, you are paying it.

Only the people heavily subsidized can afford it.

Let’s just call it “The Affordable Votes Act”.

It’s much cheaper to make others pay for all those “Free-Government-Sh*t” voters through insurance subsidies and minimum wage increases. Who says the Democrats don’t know how to be thrifty?

My socialist father thinks the only “fair” health care system is one where people pay a percentage of their income, rather than paying based on risk factors.

“Single payer based on income is the future. You can’t stop it.”

I shudder when I admit, I think he is right that we can’t stop it.

On another front, a Dutch colleague told a group of us on Friday that we are in for a couple of decades of painful transition, but that we will be better off in the end. Hooray?

It’s already 90% of the way to single payer with the insurance companies getting subsidized too

Is it true that those who recieve the subsidy will have to pay it back at income tax time? I heard that and I could immediately picture all those leeches finding out that their “refunds” had disappeared.

Not Federal Funding, they are Federal LOANS.

If those who accept ever reach the trigger point, and undoubtably many will, they’re going to be put on the short bus back to the poorhouse.

Which is what this is all about anyway.

So about seven percent weren’t federally subsidized, and I’d lay odds a sizable number of them were people who’d had their policies cancelled. We have here policies that are so bad we have to bribe people to buy them.

It’s a huge expansion of Medicaid that will be used as a vehicle toward single-payer. The system is already in place. (Medicaid)
