My intent was to highlight cruelty of Mr. Heller’s “take a pill and die” recommendation. “Efficient and humane” was intended as sarcasm.
I wrote the comment not to admonish or castigate you in any way. I totally understand the point you were trying to make and the manner in which you made it. As far as I am concerned the use of your analogy did not violate anything that exceeded the boundaries of decency or good taste.
I wrote my comment simply out of a sense of moral compunction, strangely, and this has never happened to me before, as if disengaged from the post itself.
