Although the yesterday's report of 2.2 million Obamacare "enrollees" focused on the fact that less than a quarter of the 'signups' were under 34 years of age in contrast to the 40% that were expected for the program to work, another important figure was mostly overlooked in the reports. Namely, just how real is that 2.2 million "enrollment" figure. Although Time's Swampland headline jubilantly proclaimed "Huge Surge in Obamacare Enrollment Reported," Yahoo Finance put it in proper perspective with this harsh dose of reality:

If there were all these new paying customers out there trying to use their coverage, we’d be hearing stories about them learning what a “deductible” is. Someday I imagine a segment on MSNBC explaining what that word means.

There is no reason to suspect that health care shoppers would fulfill their orders at a much different rate.
But even if the obamacare shoppers pay for their carts at TWICE the rate of Amazon shoppers, that means that only 1.2 Million people have signed up and PAID and therefore actually have insurance via obamacare.
Medicade, is a whole different animal and millions have signed up for free stuff via their obama phone, or their free comcast internet {paid for by real comcast users}.
