This is a video of how hero cops react to a mentally ill person brandishing a weapon.

In the United States, a whole bunch of cops would have filled this guy with holes, and shot a few bystanders to be sure. The cops here then would have beaten the bystanders because they were so stupid for getting shot. Then tase the wounded bystanders.

I was impressed at how relaxed the cops were. They weren’t swearing at bystanders. They were friendly with them while faced with this deranged nutjob.

Not like here, very different body language and attitude. Very admirable.

The cops were seriously brave. The guy in the blue shirt waving his jacket was an idiot.

One thing that struck me was how nice that guy with the black jacket was. He distracted the crazy guy for quite some time. Looks like he prevented the crazy guy from going after others by keeping him occupied.

You’re right, here and in the U.S. they would of shot him.

You left out the dogs.

You left out running him over with a SUV.

He might have been an undercover cop trying to keep the nutbar focused on him kind of like a matador waving his red mat at a bull so others would not get hurt.

Look at what happened to that kid on a streetcar in Toronto last summer. ‘Barney’ shot him six times and killed the kid. These cops in Columbia acted with much more intelligence.

That’s because the cops there aren’t hyped up on steroids and haven’t been trained to view the citizenry as the enemy.

Yes, I’d agree to that. Meanwhile I think the guy with the jacket was doing a great community service heh.

That is how a peace officer deals with that situation.

In most Latin American countries, police are only permitted to respond with equal force, and this frequently leaves them at a disadvantage like this:

These cops were relaxed, friendly, concerned with EVERYBODY’s safety, and smart.

I think this should be a training video for every taser toting clown with a badge in Murika!

How to win over a community and save the day and go home safe all at the same time.

That is how it used to be in America before the whole country went nuts.

In the long term this police of force leads to fewer deaths and less violence. If you feel you can talk to cops, and they will not kill your relatives...

Don’t ever ever ever call the cops into your home when senile granny goes nuts unless you want to bury her.
