Mika: 'We Know Chris Christie And We Know He Would Have Known'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/14/2014 6:07:28 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

With a "personal friend" like Mika Brzezinski, Chris Christie doesn't need enemies. Yesterday and again today, the Morning Joe co-host insisted that the media's focus needed to be exclusively on Christie and the bridge matter, and that any discussion of President Obama's involvement with the IRS, Benghazi and other scandals was a "distraction."

Today, relying on her personal relationship with Christie, Mika took things a giant step further, declaring "we know Chris Christie and we know he would have known." Mika was in effect claiming that Christie lied when he said at his marathon press conference that he had only very recently learned that his aides had ordered the bridge closures.

He Mika, don you think the so-called commander in chief knew about Benghazi? Newly released info from the top brass says he did. Yet he lied about the video before the UN after the fact. Why isn’t your two-bit morning show investigating that?

re: an ideological deathmatch that will weaken the GOP. If the RINOs and anti-US citizen globalists want to weaken the GOP by forcing candiates such as Christie (and Romney and McCain) or Jeb Bush or Paul Ryan or another backstabbing sellout, they'll get a GOP that no longer exists.

The RNC, Chamber of Commerce and their fellow travelers are the ones who've been caught....propping up the likes of Christie...and it's time for them to fold and let Ted Cruz and those who stand by him take the lead. Otherwise, there is no Republican Party.

This is the first time in recorded history that I can remember ever agreeing with Mika.

Hillary lied before Congress and obama lied to the people about some stupid video and then jetted off to Vegas. The man has no soul. He and Hillary couldn’t care less about the people who serve our country. Their CYA went as far as arresting the maker of the video which had nothing to do with the terror attack.

This is all great for Christy in such that it gets his name out in the national news to low information voters who otherwise would not have a clue who he is. Even Tokyo Rove is promoting the turd stating how TEA party types will admire him for his honesty (tell a lie enough times...). The whole lane closure thing will soon be forgotten but the press coverage is golden for fat boy. Add Governor Martinez to the ticket to draw the Hispanic vote and the GOPe have their RINO 2016 game plan.

If he had blocked a road in Benghazi, no one would have noticed.

That’s not really how the GOP coalition works. The fact is that Tea Party Conservatives and GOPe/RINOs need each other, because the alternative is so much worse.

So the question is, how do Conservatives get to be the ones driving the bus. I’d submit that a head on assault is counterproductive. This is what the MSM and Dems want. A bloody civil war within the GOP distracts from THEIR agenda, and ultimately presents them with weakened GOP candidates that are easier to defeat.

I much prefer flanking maneuvers. Much less costly in the long run. So Christie, who could have precipitated a major ideological fight in the GOP primaries, gets knocked out of his top tier spot for being a corrupt NJ pol and bully. Not for being a RINO. Same result, but at a lot less cost.

Better now than later. But it needs to happen.

Given that you’re a Michigander, it sounds like your governor is right where he’s supposed to be.

Yeah I don’t have any issues with him being there. I think you would be hard pressed to find a Michigan governor who hasn’t gone.

No lanes were ‘closed’.

And most certainly ‘1/2 the lanes’ were not closed.
