“Ive got a pen and Ive got a phone”
This is a bit off topic, but the news I find interesting about this story is that Obama has a phone?
Stay with me here.
Watched ‘The Five’ this evening as they covered the Benghazi story re General Ham’s testimony before Congress.
The timeline of events caught my attention.
Gen Ham was able to determine within 30 seconds of being notified of the attack on the consulate that it was terrorist related. General Ham then waited for 18 minutes to notify Gen Dempsey and Panetta of the events in Syria. An hour later, Panetta and Dempsey briefed Odumbo.
So...78 minutes after the attack began, Odumbo is finally briefed???
If Ham had posted the attack on Facebook, half the world would have known about the attack within a minute.
Why wasn’t Odumbo notified immediately? Call him on his damn phone!
This points to indifference or something worse on Odumbo’s part. Was Odumbo not notified because he already knew about the attack? The 78 minutes was the story for saying that nothing could be done?
By contrast, on Dec 7, 1941, FDR was notified of the Japanese attack 35 minutes after the first bombs were dropped on Hawaii. Think what he could have done with Facebook.
Something is not right here...
Translation: more crony capitalism.
