Secession is not anarchy, if the Feds want a fight then so be it. A least their are lines of demarcation....

There were all those formal legal meetings that took votes, appointed GW as CIC, etc. Getting those votes passed was the critical point. After that, Parliament's response was up to them.

Anarchy is an absence of law and order.

There was, in general, still law and order amongst Americans during the Revolution.

Constables and Courts still functioned, business went on as usual, it was not a free-for-all anarchy where hoards of “yutes” robbed stores and got away with it.
