Obama to Congress: We're not waiting for legislation

President Barack Obama sent a message to Congress Tuesday: He plans to use his power whenever he can to move his agenda forward.

"We are not just going to be waiting for a legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help that they need," Obama said before a Cabinet meeting. "I've got a pen and I’ve got a phone -- and I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward."

Obama said he told members of his Cabinet the need to use all the tool available, not just legislation, to advance his mission.

It’s truly terrifying that this appears in news programs as just another story. Mark Levin is right. This is nothing less than a coup.

But I wouldn’t be surprised if Boehner is in cahoots with The Commmie. Boehner can use this threat to urge Repblicans to compromise.

Why? Because Barry is getting away with anything he wants in violation of the Constitution. The Constitutional remedy is for the House to impeach him.

Since Boehner is not following his REQUIRED duties as per Constitution, he is as guilty as Barry.

Think of a bank robber robbing a bank. If police look the other was, aren’t they as guilty as the robber, who has no incentive to stop robbing banks as he no one will arrest him.

The screen name you chose is quite correct. Everything you said is quite logical, but unfortunately we do have a lot of “cut-off-your-nose-to-spite-your-face” “conservatives” (note I put conservatives in quotes, who like to destroy their own, instead of the real enemy and to add insult to injury, feel very virtuous about it).

REAL patriots and conservatives voted AGAINST Obama.

Notice, even now, even seeing what Obama is doing, they are more interested in getting rid of some Republicans, and giving the Dems an even stronger control of Congress, than putting a serious effort into ensuring Republican control of both Houses of Congress.

I like Steve Stockman for now, though I admit that I haven't studied his record closely. I just know that Cornyn has got to go.

At this point I'd vote for the cranky old vet down the street if he was running. At least I know he loves this country, and would tell Hairy Reid where to go.

If we defeat Cornyn in the primary, it will send shock waves through the RINO republican establishment.

This is much bigger than defeating Cornyn, it is a message to the statist that we've had enough and the Tea Party will not be marginalized.

Sorry, but I fail to recall ANYTHING that was ‘taken back’ by the GOP when they held Congress and the Executive.

In fact, I seem to recall a sorry excuse of “I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system”. That sure wasn’t done by the Bush alone! Neither was the TSA, NSA, NCLB, Part-D, etc.

And RE: your statement of ‘taking time to roll-back’...that sounds awfully similar to Paul Ryan’s latest budget: I’ll save .01%, but sometime in the future.

No, no more for me. I’ll be supporting and voting for anyone that talks and walks about doing something T-O-D-A-Y, not in the future. No program/Dept/etc. will be wound down voluntarily (in fact, none have had a real CUT in funding!), they must be ripped up by the roots and terminated NOW. The budget...balanced NOW. Pay down the debt...NOW.

That’s not going to happen w/ the current gaggle of dog squeeze in ‘leadership’. And sure as sh!t won’t happen by ‘working from within’ and supporting the Party that’s been laying-low while stabbing everyone outside of D.C. in the back.

I’m not backing Republics, or any party in fact; I’ll be voting for Constitutionalists. Time to restore the Republic or re-start the whole gov’t process.

Ah, wrapping oneself in the protective flag of patriotism.

I would rather have a minority of steadfast and vocal members who would use every means at their disposal to halt the further erosion of our Rights and Liberties than a feckless majority that would bend-over to ‘reach across the aisle’ in advancing the demise of the Republic.

The House is currently GOP controlled...so where is the push-back? Where is the fight? Where are the speeches on any/all media that would put a mic in front of their face(s)? What difference would it make to have both Houses with GOP majorities when they promulgate every idea/law of their ‘opposition’?!

Exactly. If he's forced into a runoff election, there's a very good chance he'll lose. That's how we got Ted to the Senate, although he wasn't running against an incumbent. I suppose one could argue that he may as well have been, because of Dewhurst's stature in the state. I believe the dynamics here will be similar.
